National Parks’ Fee-Free Days for 2022
Get outdoors and explore one of our stunning national parks on these five fee-free days in 2022.
Earlier this year, the National Park Service announced the five days in 2022 when entrance fees will be waived at all national parks:
- Monday, January 17 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Saturday, April 16 – First Day of National Park Week
- Thursday, August 4 – Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
- Saturday, September 24 – National Public Lands Day
- Friday, November 11 – Veterans Day
(Note: Fee-free days refers to entrance fee waivers only. Visitors will still be responsible for amenities and user fees for activities, such as camping, boat launches, transportation or special tours.)
The goal of these fee-free days is to encourage people to visit, explore, and enjoy our stunning national parks. There are more than 400 national parks throughout the country and at least one in every state, offering a variety of outdoor experiences and attractions at each one. From scenic picnics and family friendly outdoor activities to extreme nature hikes and guided tours, our national parks offer something for everyone.
